Biography

Norman “Norm” D. Finch Jr. joined West as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in December 2025. In his role, Norm is responsible for the global legal and compliance function company-wide, including litigation and intellectual property, serving as the primary legal advisor to the Chair and CEO, executive leadership team, and the Board of Directors. Norm also serves as the Corporate Secretary to the West Board of Directors.

Norm is a seasoned executive who brings exceptional legal expertise and a deep understanding of the industry and global regulatory environment. Most recently, Norm served as a legal, compliance, investment and HR advisor to start-up healthcare technology companies. Prior roles include Illinois Tool Works Inc. SVP, General Counsel & Secretary, Sealed Air Corporation VP, General Counsel, Secretary & Human Resources, and Zimmer Holdings, Inc. (now Zimmer Biomet) VP, Associate General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. He began his law career at Fulbright & Jaworski (now Norton Rose Fulbright), serving in the pharmaceutical and medical device practice group.

Norm earned a Bachelor of Arts (pre-law) from Texas Tech University (Lubbock, Texas), and a Juris doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law (Dallas, Texas), and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Norm currently serves as an executive board member of SMU Dedman School of Law.
