Biography

Dr. Devesh Mathur joined West as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in August 2025. In his role, Devesh is responsible for overseeing research initiatives alongside the West Applied Research and Advanced Engineering teams, with a focus on converting scientific and technical insights into practical solutions to drive further innovation at West for the healthcare industry.

Devesh has a distinguished career in technology innovation, most recently serving at the Global Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Klockner Pentaplast. Prior to Klockner Pentaplast, he held various R&D roles at Novelis, Becton Dickinson, Honeywell and General Electric.

Devesh earned his Bachelor of Technology in chemical engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (Kanpur, India), and his Ph.D. and Master of Science in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY).
